Sayaka Inka:
This family of musicians is directly descendant from the last Sayaka Inka village on the western shores of Lake Titicaca in Puno, Peru. They traveled from their village to share their culture and music with the purpose of uniting the Condor people of the South with the Eagle people of the North. This reunion of the Condor and Eagle would fulfill a 500 year old prophecy handed down by their ancestors, signifying our coming together as one people to evolve with our beloved planet with respect and love.
FGH was honored to host the five members of Sayaka Inka. Their first visit to San Francisco included a live interview on radio station KPOO and a FGH sponsored concert at the Mission Neighborhood Center. The crowd was treated to a night of ceremony, music and dance.
